The story of our festival began in 2013, when ten people turned their desire to party by the sea into a reality. With almost zero production experience and limited resources, the first Lighthouse was organized, at that time using bicycles as production vehicles.
The story of our festival began in 2013, when ten people turned their desire to party by the sea into a reality. With almost zero production experience and limited resources, the first Lighthouse was organized, at that time using bicycles as production vehicles.
Since then, the Lighthouse brand has become an internationally known festival and over 20 editions have been held. In retrospect, it was our greatest streak of luck to find Lanterna as a venue. Without the perfect location, we might never have been able to bring our core value of ‘electronic music on vacation’ to life 100%.
Today the festival is a well-loved place for for artists, returners, and new guests from all over the world alike, with a strong bond to Central Eastern Europe. They all are in love with the familiar atmosphere, the cozy location and a dedicated boutique approach, representing our guiding principle „electronic music on vacation".
Right from the beginning LHF is in alliance partnership with Austria's biggest event agency DocLX, and with their production & travel management excellence the capacity has grown year by year. Their support enables us to build an excessive number of stages with an attention to detail, combining media arts and stage design.
